Do you have to fight over who gets to take a hot shower in the morning?

Maybe you want more space in your basement, and that old water tank is just taking up too much room.

Here at Michael’s Plumbing we have different options for heating your water, and we’ll work with you to determine what’s best for your Orlando or Central Florida home.

Traditional or Tankless Hot Water Heater?

Each system has its pros and cons. While you’re saving energy and space with the tankless water heater, it may require more care than the storage-tank system. So you need expert advice.

The traditional water heater uses a water tank, heated with gas or electricity, which you might store in your basement, or even in your kitchen so that you’ll have a reserve of hot water.

The new “tankless” system uses high-powered burners to heat water as it runs through a heat exchanger. So it takes up less space and is more than 20% more energy efficient than the standard storage-tank model.

If you’re concerned about the environment, and your utility bills, and you have a roof that you can retrofit, you may even want to consider supplementing your fuel-driven heating system with passive solar heating. The government—federal, state, and local—are always offering tax incentives that our experts can advise you about collecting if you go the green route!

Whatever system you currently have or would like to install, Michael’s Plumbing of Orlando is the right place for it. We can diagnose and repair all types of hot water heaters in no time to get you back up a running, today.
